Anatomy"? (Why didn't my title stay in?) This is one of my favorite shows - really look forward to it. I think the scripts are so well written.

Hey Jerri,
I am going to try and watch the reruns of Gray's or Grey's Anatomy this summer, and see if I can pick up on the story line. I have heard a lot of good stuff about it. I guess I didn't watch it, because I have a bit of a problem with TV shows that tend to glorify doctors. I tend to think most of them are real asses, but I know they all are not. I know a couple that are real good guys, but I tend to think they are the minority. We need more good guys/girls to go into medicine today. Do you think I could catch on this summer if I watch the reruns? |

Michelle, I would recommend you watch the reruns. It really doesn't glorify doctors, or at least I don't think so. It's a comedy and it's more about life in general.

There was an interesting show on 20/20 last night. They showed scenes from the various illnesses depicted on the show and then showed their medical researcher who had actually found documentation about weird emergencies that had actually happened to people.
Some young interns at UCLA, I think, said they didn't know about the romances being real in a hospital because nobody has time for that. I'm sure there is some hanky\panky going on because there usually is everywhere! It was very interesting. |

I worked as a young nurse at a nursing home, and there was a lot of hanky panky that went on. Also, when I was in high school I worked cleaning hospital rooms, and I talked to a lot of the nurses and hospital staff. I heard about a lot of hanky panky. Of course this was in the 80's maybe things have changed, but I doubt it.

I still like this show but they're going to have to work hard to keep me because the script is getting a little "thin", and the diseases and accident victims are getting weirder.

I heard some talk show talking about how Gray's Anatomy knocked out CSI? I guess it is getting good ratings from what I have heard.
