What does CATenated mean?
Michelle Denise |
Re: TRIVIA TIME | ||
Are we defining catenated? If so, I looked it up and the dictionary defines it as a series of links or to form a chain.

Re: TRIVIA TIME | ||

What does venial mean? I heard this word the other day on TV. I hadn't ever heard of it.

Re: TRIVIA TIME | ||
Do you mean a venial sin?
Cymy Sue |
Re: TRIVIA TIME | ||
That's the only way I find it...used with sin, transgression, crime, etc.
It's considered a formal adjective (?). Definition of venial (adjective) forgivable; trivial A wrong action that is not serious and therefore easy to forgive. Example of venial We may regard a hungry man's stealing as a venial crime. Great word Michelle & I believe Cheryl had it nailed. |

Re: TRIVIA TIME | ||

It wasn't used in the same context as sin Cheryl, but you know now that you mention sin I do recognize the word used with sin. When I was in my 20's I converted to Catholicism, and they talked in the classes I took a lot about venial sin. I had to go to classes for several months. They called it RCIA. I can't remember the context of the sentence. I wish I could.
Thanks. |

What is a mortal sin?
Michelle Denise |
Re: TRIVIA TIME | ||
What I remember from the class is that it was serious sin or grave sin. I don't know if it can be forgiven or not. I wasn't that clear on the stages of sin. Does that make sense?
I didn't really understand pergatory either? Can you be prayed out of it? How long do you have to stay? When we see ghosts are they the people in pergatory or what? Maybe we could start on topic on this subject? What do you think? Religion/Ghost and the after life of what we can't understand? Maybe it is too risky of a topic. |

Well, it was a wild guess! That is the truth.
What element makes up the skin? |

Cymy Sue |
TRIVIA TIME | ||
My first guess would be collagen or epithelium....
"Element" is throwing me off.... Any hints? Cymy Sue |
Michelle Denise |
Sorry about that! | ||
I meant element as in Periodic Table of Elements such as hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen and carbon. That type of stuff. Basically, you are right it is derma/epithelium. I was thinking more basic such carbon. I made it too hard almost like a riddle. I didn't mean to. I didn't word it correctly. My fault.
Cymy Sue |
No...Great Question. | ||
I should have known carbon......
Your turn Again. |
