I want to keep the food simple so that you don't need plates just little napkins. I am also looking for a punch recipe. i know that there is one out there that calls for orange sherbert and hawaiian punch and i jsut can not seem to find it. and any other ideas that you all caould share with me i would love. i just want to keep it simple and neat so that i can do all the prep work before everyone gets here so that i can enjoy the party with my guests. I wish that you all were close enough to come my tmj famiy. sharon

Posts: 1913 (02/02/06 20:59:33) Senior Member Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Hi Sharon, I found a recipe for Perfect Party Punch from The Pampered Chef: 1 can (12 ounces) frozen orange-pineapple juice concentrate (thawed) 6 cups chilled cranberry juice cocktail 4 cups chilled ginger ale 1 orange Place orange-pineapple juice concentrate, cranberry juice cocktail and ginger ale in 1-gallon pitcher. Score orange lengthwise from top to bottom, and cut into slices. Place slices in pitcher. Mix ingredients. Serve immediately. Yield: 12 (1 cup) servings I know there is once for the sherbert, but I don't have that one, sorry.....

Posts: 1913 (02/27/06 21:54:14) Senior Member Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Michelle and Cheryl, Meatballs 1 lb. chop meat 1 egg 2 pcs. white bread (wet w/ water and squeeze out) parmasean cheese (grated) parsely flakes oregano basil flakes/or fresh basil chopped garlic powder/or fresh garlic sliced thin ground pepper Large mixing bowl - chop meat, egg, cheese, parsely, oregano, garlic powder, basil, pepper, bread. *Does not need salt - cheese will be salty. Mix with clean hands! Messy, but that's the best way to get everything mixed well! Put small amount of olive oil in large frying pan. Heat. Make round balls out of meat and fry. Keep turning meatballs to fry all sides.

She has one every years since she turned 90. We have to make punch every year. We always make a sherbert punch. We make it pretty cheap. We get the cheap off-brand 7-Up and off-brand Ginger Ale from Walmart. It is under a 1.00. I can't tell the difference. We then buy different sherberts such as raspberry, lemon, lime, orange, because she has these huge parties. I prefer the raspberry and lime. We just will mix a bottle of Ginger-Ale and 7 Up and then a container of sherbert for punch. I think it makes awesome punch. I always make some tea and ice water for those that prefer something different. It is fast easy. It is just a bit messy mixing it up with the splattering of pouring the bottles of soda. You don't have to worry about ice since the ice cream cools the the punch. I don't have a scone receipe, but I bet you could find a good one on the internet. I have found some good receipes online. Some will be rated by people that have made them. Starbucks has a gingerbread scone at the holidays that I like. Panera has cinnamon and orange scones that I like, so I like scones as well. Good luck with the party I think they are fun!

Posts: 491 (03/01/06 12:02:09) Member I Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	well the party was a huge sucsess we had alot of fun. the mary kay person was a friend of mine and she was great it was her first party as a consultant. you get to sample makeup it is like a complete make over , kinda and then as the hostess you get a percentage off what yo buy, by the amount of sales that the people buy at the party. i had over $200 in sales so i got 20% off of my perchase and hten i got this beautiful pink watch for free. it was alot of fun, it's a girl thing. My daughter had a bunch of her teenage giel friends over and they were "experiencing" with makeup just a lot of fun. for paige's b-day she is goign to have a mary kay manicure/pedicure party for here and her friends, i think that they fwill love it. anyway the punch was ahuge hit i took hawiann punch sprite and oranger sherbert. I made it in two seperate bowls because in one bowl i put in some champagne, that was a huge hit with the adults. they really loved it. and i made eclairs and creme puffs it was alot of fun. I totally recommend the mary kay parties fun/entertainment sometimes is a great medicine. sharon

My husband's secretary use to sell their products, and I would buy from her. She would give me a discount. I am glad you all had a great time. This is one of my favorite dessert salads and it is very easy to make. It is quick, taste good, and easy to eat. It is sweet and more like dessert. I only make it around the holidays. It has a pretty color to it for Christmas. Sinful Salad 1 can Cherry Pie Filling (Wilderness Cherry Pie Filling is the best, but I have heard there are good off brands that are less expensive.) 9 oz Cool Whip 1/2 bag of 10 1/2 oz. package of tiny marshmellows. It must be the tiny ones. 1 can of Eagle Brand Condensed milk 1 can of crushed pineapple Optional small package of crushed pecans Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl and chill it for a few hours. The cherry pie filling makes a pretty colored dish for the holidays.

Posts: 1007 (02/13/07 11:22:44) Senior Member Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Morning Glory Muffins 2 cups of flour...(I use 1 cup reg. & 1 cup white whole wheat..King Arthur) 1 1/4 c. sugar 2 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 tsp. salt 2 c. grated carrots (I use in place of carrots, a grated can of sweet potatoes) 1/2 c. raisins 1/2 c. nuts (I don't use these, because kids don't like) 1/2 c. coconut 1 apple, grated 3 eggs 1 c. vegetable oil 2 tsp. vanilla Mix flour, sugar, soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Stir in carrots, raisins, nuts, coconut, and apples. Beat oil, eggs, vanilla. Stir in flour mixture. Fill muffin cups to the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 min. yummy!!! The kids will never know...and you can say "Yes, you can have all the muffins you want!!!"

I buy pre-made. No mess, no fuss and besides....I don't even know how to make a pie crust from scratch. Betty Crocker, I am not!!! This is enough filling for two pies. Serve Frozen!!! MMMMMMMM!!!

It really is easy to make, very soft, and you can eat it warm in the winter. Also, it would be high in protein since it contains eggs. The recipe I use from my Better Homes and Garden cookbook is very easy. Baked Custard 4 eggs 2 cups milk (I use 1 percent to lower fat content.) 1/2 to 1 cup sugar (You could use Splenda if you were dieting since you can bake with it.) 1 tsp vanilla 1-2 tsp nutmeg optional Beat eggs thoroughly then gradually add milk while continuing to mix. After I have the eggs and milk mixed well, I add sugar slowly mixing all the time. At the end I add the vanilla plus nutmeg and mix well. I pour the mixture into a 1 quart casserole dish and bake at 325 degrees for 50 min to 1 hour, or until you can insert butter knife into center and it comes out clean just like it does on a pumpkin pie. You can divide the mixture into small individual baking dishes. Most likely you would have to put them in a large baking pan with one inch of water to prevent the custard from cracking. Then set the small individual dishes inside and adjust the baking time for a shorter time.

You can use more and it won't ruin your custard. This season in the Fall I am going to try Pumpkin Pie Spice where they have all those spices mixed together for pumkin pie. I bet it will be good.

My sister made a custard pie once and it was soooooo delicious. We use an oil crust recipe that always comes out perfect (flakey). My sister uses cold white wine instead of water in the crust, and it brings out sort of a yeasty flavor. Mmmmmmmmm good!

I have also had a lemon sauce on custard and bread pudding. It is delightful. I don't have the lemon sauce recipe, but I am sure I could find it easily with some digging around.
