Last year i was suffering the same problem and i start taking Flexoplex on daily basis and my back pain problem was solved with in one week so try to take it that might be help full for you.

I haven't found a great strategy either Jerr. I think the antidepressants help me to some extent, but they are not a cure-all. It is very hard to hold onto positive thoughts when in pain or depressed I agree.
