Saw the dentist yesterday. It was not much fun. I had two cavities, one in the bottom front and one in the top front. Both from gritting my teeth and having
such an overbite. The bottom tooth was turning dark on the top of it so he ground it down and filled it. Doesn't even show. The top one just looked real
thin to me but he said it was a slight cavity too so he fixed it. Then he adjusted my splint and guess what. I woke up with a horrible headache this morning. I

Cheryl,
Thanks for posting!!! We have definitely missed you.
I guess any price would be worth it to save your teeth. I can't imagine losing all my teeth and not being able to wear dentures due to TMJ. Most of the dentists I have been to, have told me that I would have a heck of a time with dentures due to all the jaw mess. Makes sense to me. Would sure be a lot of money to put out for something that might or might not work. I hate "maybes".
I hate to ask but who is Diane? I am embarrassed as I don't remember.

Please check in once in awhile. You are missed!!!
Elaine

I'm sorry to hear that you hurt following your appt. To answer your question, in the past I had problems with cavities and grinding, as well. My dentist suggested getting sealants on all of my molars and since then, I've had no more cavities and that's been close to 6 years ago. My insurance didn't cover it and back then it really didn't cost all that much. They haven't worn off as of yet. Good investment.

I hope today finds you feeling better.

Diane said to tell you "hello."

Take Care~
Cheryl

don't know if it is from the splint adjustment or just from the dental appointment and opening too wide. I will see tomorrow how I wake up.
The bill was almost $500.00. Unreal if you ask me. Anybody else have cavities from exess gritting?
