Saw the dentist yesterday. It was not much fun. I had two cavities, one in the bottom front and one in the top front. Both from gritting my teeth and having
such an overbite. The bottom tooth was turning dark on the top of it so he ground it down and filled it. Doesn't even show. The top one just looked real
thin to me but he said it was a slight cavity too so he fixed it. Then he adjusted my splint and guess what. I woke up with a horrible headache this morning. I
don't know if it is from the splint adjustment or just from the dental appointment and opening too wide. I will see tomorrow how I wake up.
The bill was almost $500.00. Unreal if you ask me. Anybody else have cavities from exess gritting?

Now I'm back to feeling anxiety and trying to accept another condition and learning about it and trying to be hopeful.

I recently was diagnosed with a new condition, Glaucoma. I know it's treatable and it was caught early and now I take eye drops

In March I was diagnosed with a bulging disc in my back and I took a cortisone shot and it's helped to relieve most of the pain.

Getting older seems to be a process of dealing with one condition after another. Life for now feels a lot different than years ago. I'm managing, after

I live in Australia and my tmj problems began 10 years ago when I was 19. since then I have had my left tmj disc removed 6 years ago as it was damaged beyond

Hi guys! It's been a long time, but I finally decided to get off the amitriptyline I had been on for clenching/grinding my teeth. It was so interfering
with my energy level during the day. I've realized something and I don't know if it holds true for you all as well. I think I clench my teeth when I
have excess energy to burn--not related to worry, anxiety, etc. I simply didn't use up all my energy during the day. I'm up now at 1 am since I woke
up, after not going to the gym today, feeling like I drank a cup of coffee instead of chamomile tea.

Does anyone find this true for them or are you're clenching/grinding experiences more related to bite issues/anxiety/stress?

This is some valuable information. I had an MRI with contrast at one time but no clue when it was. I think the timeline was before this. After reading further,
it only affects people who have advanced kidney disease. Always good to know though, just in case we should happen to know
of someone else with these problems.

Hi
I have previously posted about my closed lock & limited mouth opening. I would really like to hear from others who have developed a sudden 'closed
lock' and have disc displacement without reduction. I started physiotherapy last week- the therapist is starting off very slowly by improving my posture. I
have forward head posture so I have been told to use taping on my back to improve and straighten my posture. I was given some basic jaw/head exercises to do.
The physiotherapist said my problem is disc displacement and muscle tightness/fatigue, he mentioned the possibility of getting an MRI. I also went to a
different dentist today, who said the first step is to get an MRI. Finally! I have seen a few doctors now & they have all said an MRI would be a waste of
time. The dentist said that once he gets the MRI & confirms for sure it is a disc displacement, then he can confirm a treatment plan.

He thinks that I need to alter my current splint - i have...
